Individual Therapy

My goal is to work alongside you, ensuring the therapy plan meets your needs and goals.  Together we build on your strengths to address the challenges you have identified.

Working together, we identify a therapy plan that meets your needs and goals. This may be to address current issues by focusing on coping strategies and emotional stability, or to address deep rooted experiences by engaging in therapy for processing and healing.

My social work lens offers a different way to understand your experiences and how you’ve coped.  I offer a non-judgemental space for you and will always bring a compassionate approach stemming from my commitment to a trauma-informed practice.   I pay attention to what strategies work for you, so you can trust the process, and trust me to focus on your process and meet your therapeutic goals.

Working with Adolescents/Teens

With Adolescents
(13yrs and older)

I address your teens emotional and mental wellbeing and enhance their overall functioning at home, school, and in the community.  Support is offered to deal with a variety of issues affecting your teen such as anxiety, perfectionism, low self-esteem, changes to family, grief/loss, depression, self-injury, substance use, or experiences of trauma including witnessing domestic violence.

Trauma therapy with teens is a careful process, where I aim to bring balance between working on the trauma while remaining focused on their connection to family, friends, and academics.  I create a safe space for your teen to learn new skills, express their feelings, and focused on their goals.  I begin with time with the parent to gather important information and identify your goals, and I review issues of consent and confidentiality for your teen.

Parenting Support

Parenting Support

Parenting is hard work! Our parenting gets influenced by our past, our child’s temperament, external factors, and our ability to regulate our emotions to ensure we parent the way we want that meets the needs of our children.  I can support you in addressing your own childhood wounds to ensure that past wounds are not negatively influencing your parenting.  My goal is to support you as you work to develop skills and strategies to address your child’s mental wellbeing and development, while fostering a meaningful relationship with your child/teen.

A family’s ability to respond to their child’s needs, be supportive, and make positive changes in the home contributes to healthy coping, safety for everyone, and fosters connection.  Using mindful parenting strategies while focusing on good enough parenting, I can support you in the toughest job you may have.
